Dr. P. S. Kattimani, Librarian, Central University Kalaburagi engaged webinar on “Academic Integrity in Agricultural Research Writings” to provide insights to the PG students on understanding research ethics, academic integrity, concept of plagiarism and editorial requirements for enhancing quality research writings on 29th July, 2020 hosted by College of Agriculture, Kalaburagi. Dr. K N Kattimani, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor while inaugurating the programme emphasized on developing the protocol to contain plagiarism in all sorts of publications. He further, advised to maintain highest standards and follow UGC guidelines while publishing research papers. The Chief Guest, Dr. R.B. Sharma, National Coordinator, ICAR-NAHEP, New Delhi addressed on the need for the highest academic integrity in the present era of “copy and paste” culture while appreciating the relevancy of the webinar. Dr. D.M. Chandargi, Dean (Agri) & PI summarised various activities undertaken in NAHEP (IG) and its contribution in shaping academic quality of the University. Dr. Pramod Katti, Nodal Officer, ICAR-NAHEP (IG) highlighted the objectives of seminar. The webinar received overwhelming response among PG and PhD students, teachers, scientists and researchers of UAS Raichur invoking more than 2000 registrations. Dr. Suresh S. Patil, Dean (Agri), CoA, Kalaburagi addressed all dignitaries and participants at the outset of the webinar.

Participants gained knowledge on e-resources, knowledge management and consequences of plagiarism and enhancing quality research writings.
