A webinar on “Recent Ordinances Promulgated by Government of Karnataka & Government of India pertaining to Agricultural Marketing” was organized on 15th June 2020 for the benefit of faculty and students. Dr. B. N. Humbarawadi, Former Chief General Manager, Karnataka State Agricultural Marketing Board, Bengaluru, the guest speaker, drew attention on the recent amendments made to the Agricultural Marketing Act namely., the “Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Ordinance 2020”, the “Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance” and “Farm Services Ordinance, 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Ordinance 2020” and the benefits of these amendments to the farmers.
