Upgrading Statistical Analytics for Effective Agricultural Research

Five Day National Workshop (Online) on “Modern Methodologies in Statistical Data Analysis for Effective Agricultural Research” was held from 13th to 17th July, 2020 under ICAR- National Agricultural Higher Education Project at College of Agriculture, Raichur. The objective of the workshop was to provide an interactive platform for all practitioners of statistics to enhance their understanding on statistical techniques used for analyzing data from different real-life experiments. Dr. R. B. Sharma, National Coordinator, inaugurating the workshop reiterated the importance of statistical tools and recent approaches available for interpretation of research data. Dr. K. N. Kattimani, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor as the Chief Guest called upon the participants to be aware of recent advances in statistical tools & techniques. Further, Dr. D.M. Chandargi, Dean (Agri.) & PI highlighted the importance of smart data analysis in his presidential remarks. Dr. Manoj Kumar G, Assistant Professor (Agril. statistics) coordinated the workshop which was attended by more than 3000 scholars including more than 1000 women scholars across the states of the country.

Outcome of Workshop
Sensitized 1250 teachers and research scholar’s virtually on data analysis using statistical tools and techniques with special focus on SPSS & R Packages and also improving the research skills of the agricultural researchers.
